REACH Support is a special initiative of NetPEM to cater to the needs of the Indian Chemical and Allied industries to meet the challenges posed by the European Union’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorization & Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) chemical policy. REACH Support is an independent initiative of NetPEM and has evolved through series of activities conducted by NetPEM since 2005, in the area of European environmental policies impacting the Indian industries. This site has been developed with the help and support of Mr. Shisher Kumra, who would also be our European contact for the perpose of REACH Compliance of our clients.
The primary objective of REACH Support is providing invaluable information about the intricacies of REACH and its bearing on the Indian exporters of chemicals and chemical embedded products. This portal shall serve to disseminate detailed information REACH, what it means to the Indian manufacturers and exporters of chemicals, the strategies to be adopted by the implicated industries, details on the “only representative”, the timelines within REACH and the actions to be taken to meet the timelines, and other services that shall be offered by NetPEM to help the Indian industries cope with REACH
NetPEM has taken great pains to make the REACH Support portal user friendly and incorporated unparalleled features that shall enable the industry personnel to understand the seemingly complex piece of legislation. The portal will contain information relevant to the Indian industries looking to find solutions to their problems in regard to compliance with REACH. This information will be meticulously sourced from various web portals and presented in a simple and easy to understand manner.
The highlight of the portal is the section on REACH for non-EU countries which shall have information on REACH offering the Indian perspective, a feature that is unique to the portal. The “post your query” section contained in the web portal will enable the affected industries to get expert guidance for their specific query so that they can proceed ahead on the path of meeting the deadlines imposed by REACH. It is also proposed to provide a database of the various service providers for industries looking to get their products tested for compliance. The section on FAQ's will provide the implicated industries with answers to their queries helping them get a clear understanding of the technicalities involved in REACH. The news section will carry latest news items related to various developments with respect to REACH.
