REACH Tools

This section provides simplified explanation of the various tools which will help the industry in complying with their REACH requirements. The REACH tools include: Chemical Safety Assessment (CSA) and Chemical Safety Report (CSR): which shall have to be prepared by the industry if it exports chemical or chemical containing products over 10 tons per annum into the EU SDS: The changes effected by REACH to the existing SDS shall be explained. Also, contacts of expert professionals who could help industry in preparing the required safety data sheets . IUCLID 5: There shall be extensive information on IUCLID 5 which is the mail tool through which information on the properties of chemicals shall be submitted to the European Chemical Agency (ECHA). GHS: This shall contain simplified information on the globally harmonized system (GHS) of classification and labelling of substances to be followed within REACH. Software: This section shall include brief explanation and links of the various software’s that could be used for generating data through QSAR, read – across approach, etc .
